Launch of UYK Tech Club – Bridging the Digital Divide for Students in Karibongi, Nairobi

The Tech Club Initiative:

Program Highlights:

1. Software Training: Our experienced instructors will engage students in interactive sessions to build a strong foundation in essential software applications.

2. Hardware Basics: Students will gain hands-on experience in understanding computer hardware, fostering an appreciation for the technology that surrounds them.

3. Maintenance Skills: Practical sessions on basic computer maintenance will empower students to troubleshoot common issues independently.

4. Recycling Awareness: We will educate students on the significance of responsible e-waste disposal and introduce them to sustainable practices in technology. We will also organize a School Trip for the Kids to visit a Recycling Plant to learn on how the hardware is disposed off.

5. Weekend Practical Sessions: To accommodate students' schedules, we propose conducting practical sessions at our office during weekends or any time convenient for them.

6. Identifying Tech Enthusiasts: As part of the program, we aim to identify students with a keen interest in pursuing technology-related careers. We will provide further training and mentorship to nurture their passion and potential.
